Quantum field theory as eigenvalue problem

چکیده

A mathematically well-defined, manifestly covariant theory of classical and quantum field is given, based on Euclidean Poisson algebras and a generalization of the Ehrenfest equation, which implies the stationary action principle. The theory opens a constructive spectral approach to finding physical states both in relativistic quantum field theories and for flexible phenomenological few-particle approximations. In particular, we obtain a Lorentz-covariant phenomenological multiparticle quantum dynamics for electromagnetic and gravitational interaction which provides a representation of the Poincaré group without negative energy states. The dynamics reduces in the nonrelativistic limit to the traditional Hamiltonian multiparticle description with standard Newton and Coulomb forces. The key that allows us to overcome the traditional problems in canonical quantization is the fact that we use the algebra of linear operators on a space of wave functions slightly bigger than traditional Fock spaces.

A Large Distance Expansion for Quantum Field Theory

Using analyticity of the vacuum wave-functional under complex scalings, the vacuum of a quantum field theory may be reconstructed from a derivative expansion valid for slowly varying fields. This enables the eigenvalue problem for the Hamiltonian to be reduced to algebraic equations. Applied to Yang-Mills theory this expansion leads to a confining force between quarks. Solve spheroidal wave functions by SUSY method ∗

In the paper, we study the spin-weighted spheroidal wave functions in the case of s = m = 0. Their eigenvalue problem is investigated by the perturbation method in supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM). For the ground state, the first three terms of ground eigenvalue and eigenfunction in parameter α = aw are obtained. The obtained ground eigenfunction is elegantly in closed forms. Due to th...

Exploring the implications of the laws and principles of quantum physics in the field of talent (quantum theory of talent)

The issue of talent-discovering is one of the most important issues in the field of education and research that has always been a concern for educational systems. Studying the issues of identifying and guiding talented students can illuminate a large part of the activities of the executors and practitioners in order to accomplish their mission effectively. On the other hand, quantum physics has...

Casimir Effect in Problems with Spherical Symmetry: New Perspectives

Since Maxwell’s theory is a gauge theory, it is quite important to evaluate the corresponding zero-point energy by a careful assignment of boundary conditions on the potential and on the ghost fields. Recent work by the authors has shown that, for a perfectly conducting spherical shell, it is precisely the contribution of longitudinal and normal modes of the potential which enables one to repro...

M ar 1 99 6 The Coupled Cluster Method in Hamiltonian Lattice Field Theory

The coupled cluster or exp S form of the eigenvalue problem for lattice Hamiltonian QCD (without quarks) is investigated. A new construction prescription is given for the calculation of the relevant coupled cluster matrix elements with respect to an orthogonal and independent loop space basis. The method avoids the explicit introduction of gauge group coupling coefficients by mapping the eigenv...
